Tutorials to come...

I still keep in touch with my former professors, so unbeknownst to me, I jumped into the whole mesh idea confident. Yeah... taking longer than expected to make one simple outfit, because everything I learned in college is the opposite with SecondLife... any who. Still working, going through all sorts of emotions with Maya. When i'm done, I am sooo making better, clearer tutorials than what I have had to watch. Srsly.

I did the whole Marketplace migration. Was confusing at first until Dakota put it in great perspective:

Back from a very merry Ohio vaycay!

So, a week of my sister visiting, then 2.5 days of driving, 2 weeks of visiting in Ohio, and another 2.5 days driving home... I can't begin to explain how antsy I am to get back to work (and stoked to be out of the car!!). Still, you know, laundry, grocery shopping, turning the water back on, etc.. you know. That fun 'adult' stuff you have to do to get your household in order before the week starts.
Anyway, entertaining the masses, I did manage to find time to doodle this with markers and ink. The snowscape fascinated me for 4 days and then I wanted my Vegas desert back lol :)

Starting Monday all the merchandise in my mainstore location will be removed and the store itself will go through a transformation. You can still purchase my Eastern themed clothing on the Second Life Marketplace: click here
In the meantime, I will be a busy bee!
As always, if ya see me online in-world, say hello! ^__^

Workin' it!

A few things I've been working on. I'm about to start working on some men's shirts. I haven't put anything up for sale yet. I'd like to have some jeans done first... hehe and upon a friend's request, mesh belts and accessories. Taking forever getting used to how 'different' things are in SL. :)

Mesh...

Well... I went to the Art Institute of Las Vegas, Media Arts & Animation, to learn this stuff... I don't think anyone loves Maya or zBrush. More of a love/hate relationship. Always user-error though ;)

Anyway, the more I research what's new in Second Life, the more i'm realizing mesh is hot. However, some people don't relish the idea of changing their shape yet...? What to do, what to do...

I personally like the mesh. I looooove it. My friend, Max of LOGO, and his new Chloe line. Homg peanut butter jelly time awesome. Redgrave really has some fantastic mesh clothes, too.

I made a pemplum shirt yesterday. I'm really picky to the point of OCD now on texturing. It was a combo of old and new. This is one of those shirts i'd say would have to be full mesh, otherwise it reminds me of the old school flexi prim skirts textured, attached to the spine, with a regular shirt.

lol Not cool. I could've spent more time on it... but the overall texturing is kind of like nails on a chalkboard to me.

If you have time, please give me your opinions. Do you like full mesh clothes or a combination of old and new?

Essentials Beginning

A few sketches of what's in my mind. I found inspiration everywhere, really. I live in Vegas, best place, right?
If anything, hopefully you enjoy my ragtag sketches and look forward to the actual line of clothing.

Black Friday is over, so is Cyber Monday... but don't forget about Giving Tuesday! I plan on donating to Goodwill as usual, but also my favorite local charity, Opportunity Village.

Then I make ze clothes!

Back to work

It's been a while. Art school kept me busy. Pwwahhhh

I'm still too much of an entrepreneur. So here I am ;)

I put a lot of thought into what kind of content I wanted to make first... went inworld and found myself digging through old clothes. Dissatisfied, I went secret and not so secret shopping. Nothing suits my style. I mean, not to insult the talented clothiers inworld, everything I bought just wasn't "me."

I guess art school does that to you, especially fashion designers... ^__~

So, starting tomorrow, I am sketching out designs for a line of clothing i'm just going to call "the essential basics" for now. No mesh yet. Well maybe. It really depends where my sketches take me. My mind takes me down roads in art I didn't expect to take. Getting something out there before my 2 week vaycay to visit my inlaws in Ohio (I knooooow! Ermahgerd. Cherry got married in RL!), plus I have some acrylic painting to do. Getting ready to open an Etsy shop and participate in gallery sales. Fun times. Good life. ^___^

Nevertheless, i'll announce when it's up. Give a girl some time, perhaps a week or two. My wacom tablet, photoshop and maybe maya is going to get a workout.

Thanks for reading, if you catch me online inworld shoot me an IM!
